1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the sites you visit send to your device, where they are stored and sent back to those same sites on your next visit. They fall into two groups: technical cookies, necessary to run the site or to provide a service you have requested, and non-technical cookies, such as analytics or profiling cookies, which require your consent before they can be installed. Similar technologies, such as web beacons or the browser's local storage, are subject to the same rules according to their purpose.
2. The cookies used on this site
The pages of this site do not install analytics, profiling or third-party cookies, and they do not load any tracking tools. The application that serves the site does not set cookies of its own for the browsing of public pages. The only cookies that may be present are technical, strictly necessary cookies linked to the security services of the content delivery network described in the next section. Browsing the public pages therefore does not involve installing any cookie that requires your consent.
3. Why there is no banner
Because the site does not use profiling, analytics or third-party cookies, but at most strictly necessary technical cookies, no prior consent is required and no cookie management banner is shown. Your consent will be requested only if and when cookies for which the law requires it are introduced, such as analytics or third-party tools, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
4. Content delivery network (CDN) cookies
The site may be served through a content delivery network (CDN) that protects access to it. When the security features against automated traffic are active, the CDN may set strictly necessary technical cookies to distinguish legitimate traffic from fraudulent traffic and to secure the connection, for example cookies named __cf_bm and cf_clearance. By way of indication, the __cf_bm cookie lasts about 30 minutes and the cf_clearance cookie also lasts in the order of about 30 minutes, depending on the configuration of the delivery network. These cookies do not track you for profiling or advertising purposes and are used solely for the security of the service. Their presence depends on the configuration of the delivery network in place. On pages showing email addresses, the content delivery network may inject a client-side email-obfuscation (anti-scraping) script, served from the same domain; it sets no cookies or local storage and makes no requests to external domains.
5. Third-party services
The pages of this site do not embed third-party services that install cookies or call external resources, such as videos, maps, social widgets or analytics tools. The fonts are hosted directly on the site and do not trigger requests to external domains. No data is therefore transmitted to third parties through cookies during browsing, except as indicated for the security services of the delivery network.
6. How to manage cookies in your browser
You can manage, limit or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, and delete any that are already stored. Disabling strictly necessary technical cookies may, however, affect some security features of the site. Instructions for managing cookies are available on the support pages of the main browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
